Business Research - Call for Special Issue Proposals
Business Research (www.business-research.org) is soliciting proposals from individuals interested in serving as Guest Editors for a Special Issue to be published in 2016/2017. Proposals at the interface between the different departments of Business Research (Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Operations and Information Systems) are particularly welcome.
Proposals should include the following:
- An overview of the proposed theme that fits the aims and scope of Business Research, see http://www.springer.com/business+%26+management/journal/40685
- A draft Call for Papers.
- Qualifications of Guest Editors, including previous editorial experience.
Prospective Guest Editors can contact the Editor-in-Chief (email@example.com) with any questions. Special Issue proposals should be submitted to the Editor-in-chief by April 30, 2015. Applicants will be notified by May 31, 2015.
Professor Stefan Minner, new Editor-in-Chief of Business Research as of 2015
The current Editor-in Chief, Professor Sönke Albers (KLU Hamburg), who initiated Business Research as the flagship journal of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB), will be stepping down at the end of 2014. As the journal’s first editor-inchief, Sönke Albers raised the journal to its current status in the scientific community. He also successfully managed the journal’s transition to “Editorial Manager”, a journal platform operated by Springer-Verlag. The VHB Board and members all thank Sönke Albers for his dedicated and outstanding work on behalf of our association.
The VHB board has now appointed Professor Stefan Minner (TU München) as his successor from 2015. Stefan Minner served as Editor-in-Chief of the renowned academic journal OR Spectrum from 2008 to 2013. He joined Business Research as Department Editor for Operations and Information Systems in 2014. The VHB Board is delighted to welcome Stefan Minner as an outstanding and experienced colleague who will continue to cement Business Research’s position as an outstanding scientific journal in the international field of business.
SHORT CV Stefan Minner
Stefan Minner is a Full Professor for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at TUM School of Management, Technische Universität München. He studied Business Administration at the University of Bielefeld and received his doctoral degree from the University of Magdeburg. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Calgary and held positions at the Universities of Paderborn, Mannheim, and Vienna. His primary research interests are logistics network design under uncertainty, supply chain coordination, transportation optimization and inventory management. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of OR Spectrum, is Associate Editor of Business Research and Logistics Research and a member of several editorial boards. Stefan Minner is the president of the International Society for Inventory Research (ISIR), board member of the Society for Transportation and Logistics (GVB), a member of the advisory board of the German Logistics association (BVL), and a member the Research Committee of the European Logistics Association (ELA).
