Andreas Walter is associate professor at the chair of Banking at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. He holds a master’s degree in business administration (2000) and a doctoral degree (2002) from this institution. Hisresearch interests include empirical corporate finance, investor behavior and corporate governance. Recently, he received the SWX best paper award at 11th Conference of the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research and the Walter-Rathenau-Preis at the 8th Symposium of the German Economic Association of Business Administration (GEABA). In 2007 he also received the excellence award for young researchers from the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen sponsored by the Commerzbank Foundation.
